I chose chapter seven of They Say/I Say. I chose this chapter to help me write my conclusion. This chapter talks about different ways you can construct your paper that will help answer the questions “Who cares? Why does any of this matter?” The chapter states that more often then not even when the reader is finished reading the essay they are still left wondering these questions. I used this paragraph to help me write my conclusion paragraph. I tried to make sure that in my conclusion, not only did it wrap up my paper and bring it in a full circle, but also to help answer, why does the integration of art and science matter, and why do they care.

I did not have a conclusion paragraph at all for the before.

This is my conclusion paragraph after I read They Say/I Say:

As a healthcare professional the goal is to help your patients feel the best they can. By developing empathy, as well as an understand for each patient, you can combine that with your knowledge of the human body, to help them recover from injuries and or prevent them, to help you patient live a happy, healthy life.  If STEM was the core curriculum instead of STEAM, students would not get the chance to learn skills needed to develop empathy. Adding art into the curriculum is detrimental to the development of students knowledge. Art plays a key role and develops one’s ability to imagine, and be creative, but it also gives you the tools to be able to think on their feet and adapt to situations when problems arise. With the use of imagination and creativity, develops endless possibilities when it comes to discoveries. Some of the most innovative ideas are a result of the imagination drifting away from reality, and creating ideas that may later on evolve into a testable research hypothesis.
